When it comes to streaming classic television shows, TV Land is one of the best in the streaming industry. Thankfully, you do not need to keep on paying those high monthly cable bills to enjoy it. For those on a budget, you can continue watching TV Land after cutting the cord with streaming services like Philo, Sling TV, Vidgo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, FuboTV and more.
But with so many options available, which one is the best for you? We answer this question and more, so keep on reading to find out.
A Few Popular Streaming Services & Networks
Does Philo Have TV Land?
- $20 per month
- 60+ Channels
- 7-Day Free Trial
Philo is your cheapest option to watch TV Land without cable at $20 a month. It’s inexpensive because it doesn’t carry expensive sport channels. However, it does carry MotorTrend. Additionally, it does not offer any local networks.
Nevertheless, with Philo, you get TV Land and over 60 other channels, including, but not limited to, A&E, AMC, Animal Planet, MTV and more.
The service also has an on-demand library, which carries older episodes of previously and currently running shows. If you are looking for more movies to watch, Philo allows you to rent movies. This will cost you extra and will require you to watch advertisements before and during the show.
The only other caveat with Philo is its lack of channel versatility. The only channels you can add to your subscription are EPIX and STARZ for $6 and $9 a month, respectively. To remedy this issue, couple Philo with another streaming service or an HDTV antenna if you are on a budget.
Pairing Philo with a good antenna will give you access to a wide selection of networks available near you. You can read more on local channels and TV antennas on our website here.
While its competitors strictly limit your offline viewing, Philo allows you to save as many recordings as you want with its unlimited DVR storage. The service lets you keep these recordings for 30 days, and it will keep on recording new episodes.
Keep in mind: There are shows and channels you cannot record, but Philo’s 72-hour playback feature allows you to catch up on any missed episodes.
You can enjoy Philo on most modern devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Google Chromecast and more. You can also stream on up to three devices simultaneously.

Is TV Land Available on Sling?
- $35 per month ($10 for your first month)
- 40+ Channels (Sling Blue); 35+ Channels (Sling Orange)
- 3-Day Free Trial
Sling TV is the opposite of Philo in terms of channel versatility due to its many add-ons you can purchase. Sadly, TV Land is not in any of Sling TV’s basic packages.
The only way to get TV Land with Sling TV is by purchasing the Comedy Extras add-on for an additional $6 a month. Sling Blue and Orange costs $35 a month each, so, adding the add-on to this price, you would have to pay $41 a month.
Since you can only get TV Land through the add-on, buying an Orange or Blue plan boils down to your preferences.
With Sling Blue, you get 40+ news and entertainment channels like Newsy, Discovery, TLC and more. This plan also gives you access to NBC and Fox local broadcasts.
On the other hand, Sling Orange only offers 35+ channels. Even though you get Disney-owned networks like ESPN, you do not get any local broadcasts with Sling Orange.
To learn what add-on each plan has, see the tables below:
|SLING BLUE EXTRAS||PRICE||CHANNELS OFFERED|
|Sports Extra||$11/mo||NFL RedZone, Big Ten Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, etc.|
|Comedy Extra||$6/mo||MTV, Paramount Network, FETV, MTV 2, etc.|

Sling Orange Extras
For $21 a month, you can purchase each plan’s add-ons with the Total TV Deal. This also comes with the Cloud DVR Plus.
The Cloud DVR Plus improves Sling TV’s DVR storage. Instead of 50 hours, you can record 200 hours of content. This add-on is included in the Total TV Deal, but you can purchase it separately for an additional $5 a month. Cloud DVR Plus also protects your recordings from getting deleted once you reach the storage limit.
Take note: Like Philo, there are shows and channels you cannot record.
Sling TV has a long list of compatible devices. You can stream the service on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, mobile devices, desktop browsers and many more. However, you can only watch on up to three devices at the same time.
If you are still on the fence with Sling TV, you can always test the service with its 3-day free trial. At the time of writing, new subscribers can get Sling TV for only $10 for their first month. This promo provides you with everything Sling offers and the Cloud DVR Plus add-on for no extra cost.

TV Land on Vidgo
- $55 per month ($10 for your first month)
- 95+ Channels
- No Free Trials
Vidgo’s price may be steep for most cord-cutters on a budget, but you will find more than 95 channels on the service. Notable networks include Disney Channel, Discovery, A&E, TLC, TV Land and many more.
However, in terms of local programming, you only get ABC and Fox. If you like Vidgo and also want to watch CBS and NBC local broadcasts, we recommend coupling it with a quality antenna if your budget permits it.
Sadly, Vidgo also has caveats. Despite having plenty of channels, you cannot record from any of them since the service does not offer DVR. It does not even have offline-viewing options for mobile users. What it has is a 72-hour playback feature, but it does not work on all channels. Understandably, some viewers might find this insufficient. Vidgo promises to expand this over time.
Vidgo is available on mobile devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, web browsers and more. Like Philo and Sling TV, you can enjoy the service on up to three screens simultaneously.
Vidgo used to have free trials for its plans. However, these have since been replaced with a significant discount on your first month.
Instead of paying $55, you will only need $10 to try the service out before committing to its regular price. This is not as budget-friendly as a free trial, but the significant price cut can help those who are still undecided about Vidgo.

Does YouTube Have TV Land?
- $64.99 per month ($54.99 for your first three months)
- 85+ Channels
- 7-Day Free Trial
YouTube TV is one of the most expensive options on this list, with its regular price being $64.99 a month. However, for the first three months of your subscription, this is reduced to $54.99, which is the same price as Vidgo’s regular cost.
The service is costly because it acts as a complete replacement for a cable subscription. It offers more than 85 channels of popular news, sports and entertainment networks in its basic lineup. Additionally, you get access to YouTube TV’s on-demand library, unlimited cloud DVR storage and ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC local broadcasts.
What local channels you get with YouTube TV depends on your area. It is best to enter your zipcode on the YouTube TV website first to check available local broadcasts.
Like Sling TV, you can also enhance your channel lineup by purchasing premium networks:
- CuriosityStream – $3/mo
- ALLBLK – $5/mo
- Acorn TV- $6/mo
- EPIX – $6/mo
- Hallmark Movies Now $6/mo
- IFC Films Unlimited – $6/mo
- Shudder – $6/mo
- WE tv+ – $6/mo
- AMC+ – $7/mo
- Sundance Now – $7/mo
- STARZ – $9/mo
- Cinemax – $10/mo
- Showtime – $11/mo
- HBO – $15/mo
- HBO Max – $15/mo
- MLB.TV – $25/mo or $130/yr
- NBA League Pass – $40/mo
The Entertainment Plus add-on bundles HBO Max, Showtime and STARZ for $29.99 a month. The three combined are normally priced at $35 a month.
If you do not see the sports channel you are looking for in YouTube TV’s channel lineup, you might find it on the Sports Plus Premium add-on. This includes Fox College Sports, Fox Soccer Plus, GOLTV, MAVTV, Motorsports Network, NFL RedZone, Stadium and TVG.
From Apple TV to mobile devices, plenty of streaming platforms support YouTube TV. Despite this, you can only concurrently stream the service on three screens.
YouTube TV’s free trial regularly lasts for seven days. Get TV Land through YouTube TV by clicking here.
Does Hulu + Live Have TV Land?
- $64.99 per month ($70.99 for Hulu no Ads + Live TV)
- 65+ Channels
- 7-Day Free Trial
Hulu + Live TV costs $64.99 now, rivaling YouTube TV in terms of price. Sadly, there are frequent ad breaks. For the no-ads option, you need to pay $70.99 a month.
Nevertheless, Hulu + Live TV offers a great selection of on-demand and live content. It is also very customizable, so subscribers who can pay extra for additional channels and features might find what they are looking for here.
Aside from TV Land, the service also gives you A&E, ESPN, FX, Lifetime, truTV and many more. Moreover, you can tune in to local broadcasts from ABC, CBS, CW, Fox, NBC and Telemundo-affiliated networks.
If you want to watch a show on your own time, you can stream Hulu Originals on-demand or catch a recording of live movies or series. The service’s basic plan only has 50 hours of cloud DVR storage. However, for an extra $9.99 a month, you can upgrade this to 200 hours.
Hulu + Live TV also provides you with two simultaneous streams, which might not be enough for a large household. Thankfully, for an additional $9.99 a month, you can remedy this with the Unlimited Screens Add-on.
If you plan on getting both add-ons, you can save up to $4.99 a month by getting the Enhanced Cloud DVR + Unlimited Screens bundle. This will cost you an extra $14.99 a month.
You can also add premium channels to your subscription:
- Español Add-on – $4.99/mo (CNN en Español, Discovery en Español, NBC Universo, etc.)
- Entertainment Add-on – $7.99/mo (CNBC World, Cooking Channel, Discovery Life, etc.)
- STARZ – $8.99/mo
- Cinemax – $9.99/mo
- SHOWTIME – $10.99/mo
- HBO Max – $14.99/mo
You can stream Hulu + Live TV on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, gaming consoles, mobile devices, web browsers and more.

Does FUBO Have TV Land?
- $64.99 per month
- 110+ Channels
- 7-Day Free Trial
Despite having the same price as YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV’s family is the service’s cheapest plan available carrying TV Land.
This may still be expensive for some cord-cutters on a budget, but this is due to it carrying a wide assortment of channels and features.
For instance, the service’s cloud DVR starts at 250 hours. This might not be much when compared to YouTube TV and Philo’s unlimited storage, but you can upgrade this to 1,000 hours for an additional $16.99 a month.
You can also upgrade the standard three simultaneous screens of fuboTV with the Family Share Max. This allows you to stream on five devices at home and two on the go for $9.99 a month.
In terms of content, fuboTV carries more than 110 channels, ranging from ESPN and the MLB Network to local broadcasts like ABC and Fox.
Despite being relatively expensive, you won’t get the Turner Networks like TNT, TBS and CNN.
Similar to Sling TV and Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV also offers add-ons. See the table below for some of the notable add-ons for purchase:
|FUBOTV ADD-ONS||PRICE||CHANNELS OFFERED|
|Sports Plus with NFL RedZone||$10.99/mo||NFL RedZone, NBA TV, NHL Network, MLB Network, etc.|

How Can I Watch TV Land for Free?
Aside from the free trials of the streaming services above, there are no legal ways to stream TV Land for free.
However, you can watch select episodes from certain shows on the TV Land website. For example, the first episode of the sixth season of Younger is unlocked for free. Sadly, these free episodes are few. You would need to sign in with your TV provider credentials to unlock everything.
Nevertheless, these unlocked episodes are simply a taste of what you can enjoy on the website. There is more to explore when you sign in.
Can I Watch TV Land on Roku?
TV Land is available on Roku as a channel app. Follow these steps to get it for your Roku system:
- From the Roku menu, press “Search” and enter “TV Land”
- Select “Add Channel” and press “OK”
- Open the app, log in with your TV provider credentials and enjoy
Note: You can log in with your subscription from Philo, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and fuboTV.
Does Amazon Prime Have TV Land?
You can watch some of TV Land’s shows like Younger, The Exes and Little House on the Prairie. Even though you can watch these shows on Amazon Prime Video immediately after subscribing, some of them are still locked behind another pay wall.
The 6th season of Younger, for example, is $1.99 per episode. Buying the whole season will cost you $14.99—and these are only in standard quality definition. The high-definition versions of these shows require you to pay more.
As a streaming service, Amazon Prime Video is similar to Netflix and Hulu. It is an on-demand streaming service only. No live channels nor local broadcasts.
You can stream the service on up to three devices at the same time. There is an offline-viewing option, so you can watch your favorite shows on the go.
Amazon Prime Video costs $12.99 a month or $119 a year. However, if you do not need the Prime benefits, you can subscribe to Amazon Video alone, which is $8.99 a month.
Click here to stream TV Land shows through Amazon Prime Video and test out the service with its 30-day free trial.
Streaming Service Comparison Table
You do not need to pay high monthly cable bills to enjoy the classics.
With Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV and fuboTV, you get TV Land and the versatility that comes with the services. Keep in mind, you need to purchase the Comedy Extras add-on first with Sling TV.
What you see is what you get with Philo and Vidgo. The former is relatively more inexpensive than the latter, but Vidgo offers more channels.
With YouTube TV, you get the customization options of Sling TV and the channel quantity and quality of Hulu + Live TV and Vidgo.
