Who doesn’t love a good game show? The Game Show Network (GSN) caters to game show and reality TV fans by broadcasting game shows 24/7. Launched in 1994 by Sony Pictures Entertainment, GSN presents a combination of classic, revived, and original game shows.
Tuning in to GSN can be a great bonding activity for family members and friends, especially now that networks are streaming online.
If you want to watch GSN without a cable subscription, you’re in luck because Frndly TV, Philo, and Sling Blue are some of your best options. Learn more about streaming GSN online below.
GSN is on Frndly TV
Frndly TV is one of the most affordable options for streaming GSN – and your other favorite channels. Though it was just launched in 2019, the streaming platform has become popular among fans of Hallmark and Lifetime programming. With three plans ranging from $6.99 to $10.99 a month, you’ll get 35+ live channels including the Hallmark Channel, History, and The Weather Channel. Frndly TV’s on-demand library has over a thousand titles you can choose from.
The Basic Frndly TV plan can only be used on one device and features Standard Definition (SD) streaming. If you wish to record, you can’t because it has no cloud DVR feature.
The Classic plan, priced at $8.99/mo, allows simultaneous streaming for up to two devices and High Definition (HD) streaming, with unlimited hours of cloud DVR.
Last but not least, the Premium plan for $10.99/mo accommodates up to four devices, with HD streaming and unlimited cloud DVR. Multiple shows can be recorded at the same time. Recordings can be streamed on any device and are stored for 9 months. There is also a 72-hour “lookback” feature which allows users to access a show several hours after it was initially aired. This is really helpful especially if you forget to dvr a program.
Frndly TV can be accessed via a smart TV, streaming media player, computer, tablet or mobile phone. You can also go to their official website and stream your favorite shows on a web browser. Frndly TV’s recommended internet speed is 1.5 mbps for SD and 5 mbps for HD streaming. However, we recommend much higher internet speeds for a good experience.
The platform offers a 7-day free trial for all plans and has a no-penalty, hassle-free cancellation option for subscribers. You can sign up by clicking here.
GSN is on Philo
Philo is another streaming network to watch GSN. Philo offers a single plan with over 60 channels for $25 a month. It’s a good streaming service if you are looking for something more than a skinny package. It includes other entertaining live TV channels like OWN, TLC, and Discovery.
They also have unlimited DVR and keep your recordings for a year. You can create 10 profiles for each account and stream shows on up to three devices. Like the other streaming services, there are no contracts involved, and you can cancel anytime without penalties.
Philo also has a large on-demand library with a whopping 25,000 titles, including hit series Killing Eve and Fixer Upper. Movies from SundanceTV and AMC are also available.
Philo can be streamed via browser, mobile phone, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
While Frndly TV’s monthly fee is lower than Philo’s, Philo has twice the number of channels. Compared to the Frndly TV Basic Plan, Philo has the advantages of accommodating more screens and having unlimited DVR. Philo also stores DVR recordings longer than Frndly TV, which might be important if you’re the type who takes a while to go through your recorded shows. Note that Philo and Frndly TV both focus on entertainment and lifestyle programs. So if you’re big on sports and news, these budget-friendly platforms might not be your ideal option.

GSN is on Sling Blue
If you want to stream GSN with sports, there is good news. Sling TV not only has GSN but also your trusted sports and news sources like ESPN, CNN, and Fox News. Sling TV has two packages called Orange and Blue, each costing $35 monthly though Sling Blue has 10 more channels than Orange.
Their Orange plan is best for NBA fans and family programming while their Blue plan is ideal for entertainment TV lovers.
Specifically, Fox and NBA TV are on Sling Blue but ESPN and TNT are on Orange. But if you can’t choose between Blue and Orange, Sling TV offers a third option: Sling Orange & Blue with all the channels in the Blue and Orange packages at $50 a month. You can also choose some channels as add-ons if they’re not available in the original plan.
Sling Orange, which streams 31 channels, can only be streamed on one device at a time. Meanwhile, Sling Blue has 41 channels.
Sling Blue and Orange allow simultaneous streaming for up to three devices. Similarly, only these two packages have the Game Show Network but all Sling packages come with 50 hours of DVR storage.
Though they’re currently not offering a free trial period, Sling’s latest deal is a 50% discount on your first month of streaming for any package. You can also get a free Chromecast with Google TV if you prepay one month of Sling, or an AirTV mini if you prepay two months.
Sling TV is higher than Philo and Frndly TV, but it offers a different set of channels focused on news and sports without neglecting your entertainment favorites. It also offers more customizability than the other two streaming platforms.
Unlike Frndly TV and Philo, Sling TV only has 50 hours of DVR, and no free trial. Currently, Sling TV has a 50% price slash on your first month of streaming. You can sign up for Sling TV here.
