How to Watch Bravo Without Cable: Your Best Options

While traditional cable services are undeniably expensive, they are still preferred by many households. However, internet streaming services are on the rise, and they are changing how families watch their favorite shows.

If you want to catch up on Bravo’s best shows like Project Runway, The Real Housewives and Below Deck, your best options are Sling Blue, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and fuboTV.

But the questions remain: What are these streaming services? How do they differ from one another? Which service is the right one for you? Read on to find out the answers to these questions.

Bravo on Sling TV

Sling TV has two basic plans: Sling Blue and Sling Orange. However, while Sling Orange has the better sports and family network lineup with ESPN and Disney Channel, it does not offer Bravo.

For Bravo, you would have to subscribe to Sling Blue, which has more news and entertainment networks like A&E, Discovery, CNN and HLN.

Sling Blue also offers local broadcasts, but only from NBC and Fox. You can remedy this issue by coupling your subscription with a good antenna. With this deal, you will get the wide array of regional networks from ABC, CBS, PBS and more.

The service also has a decent 50-hour DVR storage. It is not as generous as YouTube TV’s unlimited DVR, but it gets the job done. If you want to record more episodes, you can purchase the Cloud DVR Plus add-on, which increases the storage size to 200 hours. You can get this add-on with the Total TV Deal, or you can buy it separately for $5 a month.

Take note: Due to certain streaming rights, not all shows and channels are available for recording.

Speaking of add-ons, you can expand Sling Blue’s 40+ basic channel lineup with their numerous purchasable extras. Check out the list of available add-ons below:

Purchasing each add-on separately can be expensive. Luckily, you can opt for the Total TV Deal or 4 Extras Deal. The former offers all seven extras for $21 a month, while the latter gives you the Lifestyle Extra, Kids Extra, Comedy Extra and News Extra for $13 a month.

The service allows three simultaneous streams, and it is compatible with Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and more.

Sling TV costs $35 a month, but you can get the service for only $10 a month for your first month. There is no contract involved, and you can cancel at any time, even during the 3-day free trial.

Bravo on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu is not solely an on-demand streaming service; they also offer live TV. Fortunately, no matter which option you choose, you will still gain access to Hulu’s expansive on-demand library.

Hulu + Live TV costs just as much as YouTube TV nowadays at $64.99 a month, and this option still has you sitting through ad breaks. If you want to watch your favorite shows and movies without interruption, you need to subscribe to the $70.99 no ads option.

Regardless, with Hulu + Live TV, you will gain access to Bravo, AMC, ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, TBS and more.

Like Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV offers multiple upgrades to enhance your viewing experience. For instance, while the service’s basic plan only allows 50 hours of recording, for an additional $9.99 a month, you can upgrade this to 200 hours.

Likewise, you can upgrade the service’s two simultaneous streams with the Unlimited Screens add-on for the same price.

However, you can get both upgrades for an extra $14.99 a month by getting the Enhanced Cloud DVR + Unlimited Screens bundle.

Bravo on Fubo

For those who want to pair Bravo with tons of sports channels, fuboTV may be the right one for you. The service has more sports channels than any other live TV streaming service. You can watch league games from NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, MLS college sports and more.

Plus, with more than 110 channels under its belt, each household member is sure to find what they are looking for in its basic lineup.

In terms of local channels, fuboTV has ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. Channel availability still depends on your location.

But the service does not come cheap. Like Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV, it costs $64.99 a month, and, unfortunately, it is its cheapest plan. Even so, you will see commercials while watching live programming, cloud DVR recordings and on-demand content.

When it comes to DVR, fuboTV’s basic plan gives you 250 hours of storage. You can enhance this to 1,000 hours, but it will cost you an additional $16.99 a month. This upgrade comes included in the Elite plan, which costs $79.99 a month.

DVR is not the only thing you can upgrade. For another $9.99 a month, you can go from three simultaneous streams to five at home and two on the go with Family Share Max.

Does Bravo Have an App?

Yes, but while downloading the app to your streaming device is free, you would still need a TV service subscription to get it to work.

Nevertheless, after logging in using your TV provider credentials, the Bravo app becomes a great choice for streaming on the go using your mobile device.

One upside with the app is that users can watch new episodes of Bravo shows a day after their live premiere.

Where Can I Watch Bravo for Free?

Unfortunately, you cannot watch Bravo for free. Even on the Bravo TV website, the closest you can get to free content is clips of some episodes. To stream the entire episode the clips are based on, you would have to sign in with your TV provider credentials.

You can utilize the free trials available of the streaming services we mentioned above, but this is a temporary fix and is not ideally recommended.

Can I Watch Bravo on Amazon Prime?

Bravo shows are available on Amazon Prime, but sadly, not all are immediately available after you subscribe.

For instance, you need to buy the thirteenth season of The Real Housewives of New York City to watch it. You either buy each $1.99 episode separately ($2.99 for high-definition quality) or buy the entire season for $23.99.

Amazon Prime Video regularly costs $12.99 a month or $119 a year, but you can forego the Prime benefits and get Amazon Video separately. This plan gives you the service’s on-demand library for $8.99 a month.

Is Bravo Free on Roku?

Like most channel apps, you can add Bravo for free on your Roku device. Simply follow these instructions to get it:

1. From the Roku menu, navigate to “Streaming Channels” to access the channel store
2. Press “Search” and enter “Bravo”
3. Select the Bravo channel app and press “Add Channel”

However, while the channel app is free to download, accessing most of its contents is not. You would still need to activate the app on the NBC Universal Family website by typing the code shown on your TV screen. Afterward, you need to enter your TV Provider credentials.

Does Bravo Have a Streaming App?

The Bravo app is available on plenty of platforms, including iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.

To get it, just go to your device’s respective app store and download the app from there.

Sling TV and Hulu + Live TV provide you with various ways to customize your viewing experience. However, keep your purchases in mind because getting too many add-ons could overwhelm your monthly costs.

There are other ways you can watch Bravo without cable—such as through Amazon Prime Video and the Bravo streaming app. Unfortunately, the former locks some of the best Bravo shows behind another paywall, and the latter requires a TV subscription to access.
